Major tourist spots include the West Lake, Lingyin Temple, Peak Flown From Afar, Six Harmonies Pagoda and Yellow Dragon Cave, etc. On the 18th day of the 8th lunar month (about mid September) it is interesting to see the rushing tides of the Qiangtang River.

Hangzhou has many kinds of local and special products such as Longjing tea, Shaoxing rice wine silk products, West Lake silk parasols, bambooware, Qingtian stone carvings, and Dongyang wood carvings, etc.

From Hangzhou, one can visit Shanghai, Suzhou, Wuxi and Nanjing by train one Wenzhou and Putuo Mountain by boat.
