Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province
1st day:
dragon boat race, setting free lanterns to float over tne festival,
throwing woven bags to a future love partner and other activities.
2nd day:
dusting Buddha statues and other Buddist ceremonies.
3rd day:
people dressed in their holiday best splash water on each other
to bid farewell to the old and welcome the new, to eliminate and
avoid disasters, and place great hope on good weather for good
crops and bumper harvest during the following year.
